UPDATE FROM GAMRAT STAFFER: "These budget bills were negative supplementals to a variety of departments... they did not cut the MEDC/MBT...What Cindy was saying is that the budget deficit that necessitated the cuts was a *result* of the MBT/MEDC tax credits."
We apologize for the confusion. WMP previously wrote:
Ottawa County area State Representatives Roger Victory, Daniela Garcia, Amanda Price, and Cindy Gamrat all "Voted yes on HB 4110 and 4112 to balance the state budget by cutting nearly a half billion dollars due to tax credits promised through the MEDC and MBT."
So did Holly Hughes.
