Former MIGOP youth Chair Blake Edmonds announced Monday he will seek the Republican nomination for the 75th State House District to replace Brandon Dillon. Dillon resigned from the State House in early August to take over as MI Dems Chair. The primary will be held this November with the special general election held in March, coinciding with the Presidential primary.

Edmonds released a YouTube video announcing his candidacy:

"Trust, Respect, and a Vote should never be expected, but EARNED!

That is why I'm excited to announce that I will be running to earn the Trust, Respect and Vote of the citizens of Michigan's 75th State House District (Grand Rapids). I look forward to meeting so many of you and hearing your ideas. Please watch my short announcement video below to hear more about how we will continue to make Grand Rapids, Michigan and our State better!
