West Michigan Republicans will hold their first meeting on Thursday, August 18th at 6:30 p.m. at Old Boys Brewhouse in Spring Lake. Guests are encouraged to order food and drinks off the menu, and a light snack will be provided.

"We are excited to announce the formation of West Michigan Republicans," said Diane Schindlbeck, a local conservative activist and the group's founder. "We are proud of our Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump, and we are excited to give Republicans who feel local party leaders have left them behind a real voice again."

The second meeting of West Michigan Republicans takes place on September 15th at 7 p.m. at Fricano Place in Muskegon. Businessman Ted Fricano will be the featured speaker that evening, and pizza will be provided.

Schindlbeck says the group will be active.

"We are looking forward to these first two meetings, and for the months and years to come," Schindlbeck said. "We are passionate about our state and our party's future, and we aren't going away anytime soon. Our community deserves better than the failed status quo."
Schindlbeck was a Trump delegate in Cleveland and recenly grabbed nearly 30% of the vote in her first run at public office against Ottawa County Commissioner Matt Fenske.

She says West Michigan Republicans monthly meetings will feature debates on important issues, speakers addressing political and policy matters important to West Michigan families, updates on what's happening at the local, state, and national level, and much more. Locations will rotate throughout the region, primarily in Muskegon, Kent, and Ottawa County.

  3. Sounds as if the conservative wave has moved to West Michigan. Many of the worst party slappies are in that area. Best wishes for a quick start.
