Dr. Jim Hines pulled no punches addressing Attotney General Schuette's latest proposal regarding debates in the Republican race for Governor.

Hines, a Doctor from the Saginaw area, tells MIRS he was baffled by Schuette's announcement.

"I can't believe he's saying this with a straight face. It was like this was a fresh idea of his that we have some debates. There's like a split personality here. Wow."

At the same time as Schuette said 3 was the magic number, the Michigan Republican Party proposed four televised debates.

Hines, along with State Senator Patrick Colbeck and Lt. Governor Brian Calley have already held 7 debates, Schuette has refused to attend.

  1. Schutte's still going to win. The only reason he hasn't attended was because he has such a lead. Not a Schutte fan, I'm just sayin.
