Weiser Touts Role In RNC's Trump Victory Fund, Says Grassroots Activists Will Fuel November Win

Former Michigan Republican Party Chair Ron Weiser touted his role as Vice-Chair of the RNC's Trump Victory Fund in a recent email.

The position, announced in late May, will see Weiser raise money on behalf of GOP Presidential nominee Donald Trump, as well as other Republicans nationwide.

Weiser believes grassroots activists will step up to the plate for Trump and GOP candidates in November.

"I have accepted the position of Vice-Chairman of the Republican National Committee's Victory effort," Weiser said. "As I am sure you know, Trump Victory is a joint committee that raises money for the Trump Campaign, our Republican House and Senate races and the National and State Parties. I know that activists such as yourself, when given the proper resources, will knock the doors, make the calls and help all of our Republican candidates succeed."

Weiser made it official earlier this week in his run for a spot on the University of Michigan's Board Of Regents, submitting signatures of all 14 Congressional District Chairs to the MIGOP State Committee...

Fellow Conservative,     Last week I submitted my Affidavit of Candidacy and Candidate Permission forms to the State Committee with the signatures of all 14 District Chairs. I want to thank all of them for their trust and confidence.   I have always appreciated the hard work of the district chairs, state committee members and all of our hardworking precinct delegates and activists. Going back to our work together in 2010 when we swept the ticket, we learned that a robust ground war combined with a strong air campaign will lead to unprecedented success for our party. In 2012, we had similar success in the effort to defeat Prop 2 and pass Freedom to Work. Working together, we were able to give Michigan workers and businesses the competitive edge that they need to succeed. It is for this reason that I have accepted the position of Vice-Chairman of the Republican National Committee's Victory effort. As I am sure you know, Trump Victory is a joint committee that raises money for the Trump Campaign, our Republican House and Senate races and the National and State Parties. I know that activists such as yourself, when given the proper resources, will knock the doors, make the calls and help all of our Republican candidates succeed.   I want to serve as your Regent at the University of Michigan because the we need conservative leadership, that understands how to run a business, leading the University. I will work tirelessly to prevent the University from finding ways around Right to Work, push to ensure that every student takes a class on the US and Michigan Constitutions and fight to keep tuition low.  My 34 years of experience in starting and growing a business and meeting a payroll can help us accomplish that goals. While I am honored to have the endorsement of national conservative leaders like Senator Rand Paul, Congressman Allen West and Governor Scott Walker,the strong support from our State Committee and grassroots activists mean more to me than anything else. I would be honored to once again have your support and endorsement in my race for University of Michigan Regent. I know, that by working together, we will win in 2016 and advance our conservative principles throughout Michigan and the United States.
