In today's edition of "why it's probably time for a part time legislature in Michigan," State Rep Erika Geiss, a Democrat from Taylor, has introduced a bill banning the sale of breast milk. So if you plan on being the Bill Gates of breast milk, Michigan is not the place for you-if Geiss gets her way...

House Bill 4691, introduced this week, says simply that:

"THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

Sec. 5104. A person shall not, for valuable consideration,

knowingly sell human breast milk over the Internet."

Evidently, only internet sales are banned, and only human breast milk specifically. Looks like Greg Focker could sell that cat milk he mentions he procured during "Meet The Parents." ;) :)

  1. The government should not have the power to ban any economic activity. The rule to follow is: if an activity does not violate or threaten to violate someone's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, congress shall make no law. It's really that simple. The above bill just shows once again how the Democrat Party is in love with regulations, that is, enjoy regulating the lives of citizens. And if they don't really enjoy it they at least think starting force against citizens through regulation is the only practical way to deal with people. There are also too many Republicans who share this belief.
