Roseville High School Apologizes After Saying American Flag Violates Dress Code

Roseville High School has issued a statement clarifying their dress code after a social media post showing the school banning the American flag ignited an online firestorm.

School leaders subsequently apologized for the flyer that was sent home, saying the incident was a misunderstanding, as the actual school rule book says that a flag can not be worn in a demeaning manner, whatever the hell that means.

The abridged version sent to parents didn't provide such clarification though, it simply listed the American flag as a banned item that would violate school rules.

A picture of the flyer received thousands of shares and comments within just a couple hours. The opinion was nearly unanimous, people believed the school was in the wrong.

The Roseville area has been in the news this year after a man was ticketed in his own driveway for leaving his car unattended in the winter so it could warm up while he was inside. That incident led to a new law being passed, making it legal to do what millions of Michiganders already do every winter.
