In an email a few weeks ago that received little attention, Michigan Republican Party Chair Ron Weiser announced Scott Hagerstrom is now serving as his Deputy Chair.

Hagerstrom ran President Trump's campaign in the Great Lakes State, playing a critical effort in turning Michigan red for the first time since 1988.

Hagerstrom previously served as the Director for AFP Michigan. During Hagerstrom's tenure, the organization played a key role-along with Weiser, grassroots activists, and others-in passing Right To Work. AFP also aggressively challenged establishment favored candidates in primary elections...

Hagerstrom challenger Weiser for the Chair position from mid-November to mid January, ultimately deciding to endorse the Ann Arbor real estate tycoon.

Weiser also announced that former MIGOP Co-Chair Jeff Sakwa will serve as a Deputy Chair.

The hiring of Hagerstrom isn't Weiser's first big move as Chair, he previously gave controversial MIGOP attorney Eric Doster the boot, replacing him with Colleen Pero.

In addition to General Counsel for the Michigan Republican Party, Pero also serves as Weiser's Chief Of Staff...

  1. Doster is not "controversial"....he is just a thug. And Sakwa is, well, worse. One thug out and one _______ on the paid staff means really little progress at draining the swamp inside the MRP.
