MDP Chair Brandon Dillon: "Cotter Fired Three Whistleblowers"

Michigan Dems Chairman Brandon Dillon, himself recently a member of the State House, chimed in on the Courser/Gamrat siuation via Twitter last week, saying Speaker Cotter "fired 3 whistle-blowers." He also asks, "when will Schuette finally start a criminal investigation?"

WMP revealed on July 9th that Cotter knew since May 22nd that Courser had sent the false flag email alleging the State Rep. had sex with a gay prostitute. It is unclear what-if any-action the Speaker took upon learning that information from Chief of Staff Norm Saari after his meeting with staffer Ben Graham.

Fellow staffer Josh Cline said Monday that Cotter's office didn't seem to care about concerns he raised over workplace issues well before May 22nd.

According to the Detroit Free Press:

"During a news conference Monday, Cline, who resigned in the spring, said it became obvious soon after the lawmakers took office that they had a such a personal, intimate relationship that it created a hostile work environment and made working in the office "untenable"...

Cline quit the office in April and said the last straw was when he realized that they had cancelled or rescheduled more than half the meetings they set up. He said he brought his concerns about the relationship to members of the office of Speaker of the House Kevin Cotter, R-Mt. Pleasant. But said he "felt there was no relief forthcoming."
