Chatfield: #MeekhofGasTax Is Prop 1's "Slightly Less Creepy Uncle"

"The Senate road package is Proposal 1's slightly less creepy uncle. But it still drives a van with no windows,” State Rep. Lee Chatfield tells MIRS recently.

MIRS also says that the Senate plan seems to be completely dead in the House...

""As some supporters hold out hope for the Senate's $1.4-billion road plan, multiple House Republicans vowed that the plan would go nowhere in their chamber."

    I'll share that sentiment after the Michigan Legislature declares sine die and they all physically leave Lansing for the year.

    Does anyone here really need a reminder how Proposal 1 got crammed down our throats at the very last minute?

    And via the actions of "Conservative" republicans, no less?
