In an appearance on "Off the Record With Tim Skubick" Friday, State Rep. Mary Rose-Robinson, a Democrat from the Detroit area, said that she no longer attends meetings with the House Democrat Caucus.

Robinson, who called Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan a "carpetbagger," also says she opposes Hollywood film credits.

Regarding the House Dems caucus and the political system, she said that:

"i think it's corrupt-money has corrupted us...Aside from me, they are all pretty tight...(State Rep. Harvey) Santana is a wildcard, I like him and don't like the way the caucus treated him...I have a lot of respect for the members-I am too far left-I get very frustrated with the compromising, i know the compromising is based off of lobbyists they talk to and people who give them their money."

State Representative Rose Mary Robinson is serving her second term representing Michigan’s 4th House District, which comprises Hamtramck and portions of Detroit.
Robinson, a former attorney for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union Council 25, was one of the first women ever elected to the Wayne County Commission in 1970. Before being elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, Robinson also served as a member of the Detroit Charter Revision Commission in 2009. Robinson holds a law degree from Wayne State Law School.
Robinson, a mother of six, lives in Detroit.
Rep. Robinson serves as the minority vice chair of the House Oversight and Ethics Comittee and also serves on the House Judiciary Committee.
