WMP has learned that State Rep. Roger Victory will run for the Ottawa County State Senate seat currently held by Sen. Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof.
Victory hasn't filed formal paperwork, but is expected to do so this summer or early in the fall.
Victory will face former State Rep. Joe Haveman, and is also likely to face State Rep. Daniela Garcia of Holland.
Another rumored candidate is the CEO of Two Men And A Truck, Jon Sorber.
Sorber, a Spring Lake resident, tells WMP he will not be a candidate.
Sorber still wants to be involved in the race, though.
"I want to support good conservatives in the background," Sorber said.
