In a story that has gone mostly unnoticed, State Sen. Rick Jones basically told a Marine Corps Vet suffering from PTSD to go to hell.
The veteran, Dakota Serna of Kalamazoo, was speaking about his life experiences when he used some harsh language for police officers who raided the homes of medical marijuana patients, calling them "thugs."
Police raids on medical marijuana patients like him-sometimes veterans who have served-is an immensely emotional issue for a man who has been in battle and still suffers from the hellacious horrors of war.
Instead of giving him a chance to move on after he clearly indicates he is willing to tone his language down a bit, Jones cut him off and ordered him removed from the meeting!
The government fails our Vets everyday, and Rick Jones failed Dakota Serna. Just imagine the GOP reaction if Dems had done anything like this?

Getting rid of just ONE EPA official is wonderful --Michigan now needs to follow the people of Flint to see what long term this has done !!>> as for Sen Rick --thank you for defending our Police for doing their job --too bad they didn't ck soon enuf to prevent the Allegan house from exploding --damaging near by homes --also the one in Rockford! If we legalize recreational marijuana we'd better increase police #'s to ck to be sure they follow the safety regulations!! Rusty
ReplyDeleteIs this the same Rick Jones that sat on the MI Marijuana Board?
