"Dear Michigan Voters,
We are less than 50 days away from making a very important decision on the direction of our United States.
As the election season is unfolding, the contrast of your choices is becoming more clear. The heated rhetoric and in-fighting of the primary season is over, nominations are official, and the candidates for their respective parties are laying out their plans and vision which affect each and every one of us.
But while Donald Trump just this past week is articulating his plans for improved child care and helping working mothers and families, the Democrats chose a nominee who continues to fan the flames of division, in order to misdirect the attention away from what really matters to you.
Consider the hypocrisy contained in her "grossly" generalized comments about millions of Americans just like you:
HILLARY - "I know there are only 60 days left to make our case — and don't get complacent, don't see the latest outrageous, offensive, inappropriate comment and think well he's done this time...
You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? [Laughter/applause]. The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic — you name it." - Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at the New York Historical Society Library in New York City on September 9, 2016.
This was not an "off the cuff" statement, she prepared and thought it out. Now consider the hypocrisy of her campaign slogan, "stronger together".
Words have meaning, and her words enable division. To say the charges, she makes do not exist in our country would be short-sighted to be sure, but the Democratic Party, their leaders, and their candidates use high-charged social issues to play on emotions. These are often no more than cheap, inappropriate talking points.
Republicans know the highest minority is the individual, and their God Given rights are being trampled and replaced by the collectivist ideology of which the Democrats party and their leader, Hillary Clinton, espouse to the detriment of our nation and its founding principles.
Instead of offering ideas for long-term solutions which lifts up every American individual, Hillary Clinton methodically undermines all that our nation stands for through her cult-like vision of a nation divided into groups.
You and I know the dark path that Democrats have taken us. We know that this path will never sustain personal growth or prosperity, and it which weakens the foundation of each of our United States, and We the People.
Election Day, November 8th, 2016, is fast approaching. The momentum is shifting towards our cause and with it a tremendous opportunity for each of us to come together, and unite behind the values which made our country the envy of the world.
Please join us, our Republican Party, our candidates for local public office, and our nominee Donald Trump, as we work together to restore "One nation under God," individual liberty, and respect for the rule of law.
With conviction,
Chairman Jesse Osmer, 1st Congressional District
Chairman Michael Hewitt, 2nd Congressional District
Chairman Sam Moore, 3rd Congressional District
