Controversial State Rep. Tom Kunse was originally a strong supporter of the horrendous Gotion project in Big Rapids being pushed by the Chinese Communist Party.
Kunse apparently changed his tune only after community members were absolutely FURIOUS over the plans...
The $25 million state grant was secured by Kunse's friend and the man he replaced in the State House, former Speaker Jason Wentworth.
The grant was awarded to Wentworth's former staffer, David Coker, who then paid Kunse $3.5 million.
Coker and Wentworth are friends of Kunse, and they have both donated to his campaign, with Wentworth giving nearly $20,000!
In an April 2023 interview on "Off The Record," Kunse himself admitted he flip-flopped on the horrendous CCP backed Gotion invasion:
Why the hell would you ever support something like this in the first place?!
As for Kunse, whose district includes Osceola and Mecosta Counties, as well as parts of Clare County and Lake County, he is up for re-election in August.
