Democrat candidate for Governor Abdul El Sayed will be in West Michigan tonight for a townhall in Allendale at GVSU.
El Sayed, who recently turned in his signatures for the August primary ballot, will be available from 5-6. El Sayed faces controversy over whether or not he is eligible after being registered to vote in New York.
According to GVSU Democrats:
"Join us for this town hall meeting hosted by the GVSU College Democrats! Abdul will speak about his candidacy for governor and answer questions from the crowd.
Doors open at 4:30pm with the event starting up at 5pm. This event is free and open to the public, we really hope you can make it!

On the conservative side, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk will also be in Allendale at GVSU tonight for a free speech event from 7-9.
According to GVSU Republicans:
"Grand Valley State College Republicans are excited to host Charlie Kirk, Founder & Executive Director of Turning Point USA for a free speech gala on campus.
Come join us in welcoming Charlie in exposing progressive leftist lies and propaganda, as a part of his “Hard Truths Tour”, followed by a Q&A session.
