With Rand Paul set to announce his candidacy for the Presidency in Louisville on Tuesday, a D.C. media outlet reports that Rep. Justin Amash will back the Kentucky Senator's campaign.
According to the National Journal:
"Paul will officially launch his campaign Tuesday in Louisville, before embarking on a four-day tour through the first four states—Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada— on the GOP nominating calendar. During the launch, or soon after, the senator is expected to announce endorsements from a host of House Republicans who will help his campaign in some capacity. Among them: Reps. Justin Amash of Michigan, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Raul Labrador of Idaho, and Mark Sanford of South Carolina."
Sen. Paul backed Amash in his primary battle against Brian Ellis last year.
Michigan's GOP Presidential Primary is slated for March 8th, 2016.

The RNC is unbalanced favoring the monied Establishment power brokers in the party. The Detroit News is part of this unbalance and favors Establishment politicians over populist conservatives. Mr. Finley expresses those prejudices.
ReplyDeleteHis name calling of those he finds in his own liberal slanted disfavor remind me of another, now former, political reporter for the Macomb Daily, Chad Selweski. Mr. Selweski used similar devices to diminish the stature of those he found unlikable to his particular leftist political measure.
